Dear Colleague,\\[4mm]
Please find enclosed a poster (and a reduced copy for your personal
files), travel information and an application form for the upcoming
Hirschegg Workshop on
\vspace{4mm}
\begin{center}
{\bf Dynamical Properties of Hadrons in Nuclear Matter.}
\end{center}
\vspace{4mm}
The list of invited speakers and subjects has been set up together with
D. Drechsel (Mainz), B. Friman
(GSI), V.~Metag (GSI) and B. Schoch (Bonn).
We hope that the meeting will stimulate fruitful discussions between
experimentalists and theoreticians working on the physics of heavy-ion
and electron-nucleus collisions.

If you wish to participate please fill in the application form and send it
back not later than \underline{October 31}.

If you propose a contribution please attach a \underline{short abstract}
(not more than one page) to your application form. This will help us in
arranging the program. All submitted abstracts will be made available to the
participants upon registration at the meeting.

Again we shall issue \underline{proceedings} of the workshop which will
contain all typed manuscripts (about 8 pages for invited and up to 5
pages for contributed papers) handed in \underline{before the end of the
meeting}.

The workshop will take place in the Waldemar-Petersen-Haus, a student lodge
run by the Technical University of Darmstadt. It is located in Austria but
can be reached only via Oberstdorf in Germany (see travel information).

There is full board
accommodation for about 45 participants in the Waldemar-Petersen-Haus in
one-, two- and (mostly) 4-bedded rooms. The accommodation fee amounts to
about DM 55 per day. At higher rates arrangements can also be made in
nearby pensions (breakfast only, per person and day $\approx$ DM 55) and in
Hotel Ifen (half board, per person and day $\approx$ DM 170).

The participants are expected to arrive on Sunday afternoon, January 15 and
depart on Saturday morning, January 21. A conference fee of DM 120,-- will
be requested.
The third circular is scheduled for the end of November and will contain the
program, a list of participants and final information on accommodation.
