Approach by train or long distance bus services to GSI:

• by Train: purchase a train ticket directly to Darmstadt-Wixhausen or Darmstadt-Arheilgen. This then includes the fare for the local S-train!

  take a train to Frankfurt main-station (or coming from the south: to Darmstadt main-station).

• by long distance bus service: take a bus to Frankfurt or Darmstadt. The bus stops at the main train station (Hauptbahnhof).
• at Frankfurt Main Station take S-train S3 at track 101 (underground level) towards Darmstadt (see time table below);
• at Darmstadt Main Station take S-train S3 at track 3 towards Frankfurt (see time table below);
• leave the S-Train in Wixhausen for GSI (or Arheilgen for the hotel).
• If you don't have a valid S-Train ticket, you then need to purchase an S-train ticket at the blue Vending-machines located in the train station before you enter the S-train. The ticket costs 7.15 Euro From Frankfurt (2.00 Euro from Darmstadt) to Wixhausen or Arheilgen.
