Analysis Results

This webpage contains a collections of results that are produced by means of the SMASH-analysis suite for each tagged version of SMASH. It consists of basic tests, to ensure SMASH works as expected, as well as physics results. The produced results are grouped into different categories:

Afterburner
Multiplicities, midrapidity yields, transverse momentum and rapidity spectra for the most abundant hadron species for runs using SMASH as an afterburner for a particle list sampled from a hydro simulation at √s_NN =200 and 5000 GeV.
Angular Distributions
Non-isotropic angular distributions for NN ⟷ NΔ scattering.
Cross Sections
Collection of cross sections for different elementary scattering processes. Inclusive and exclusive cross sections are presented.
Densities
Time evolution of the densities in collider and infinite matter simulations.
Detailed Balance
Detailed balance tests in an infinite matter simulation (box) with different particle species. The evolution towards chemical equilibrium and the reaction numbers of forward and backward reactions are displayed.
Dileptons
Invariant mass spectra for dileptons from different elementary and heavy-ion collisions compared to HADES data.
Scattering Rates
Analysis of scattering rates in infinite matter simulations with only elastic collisions. Sensitivity of scattering rates to variation of different setup parameters is investigated.
Energy Scan
Multiplicities, midrapidity yields, transverse momentum and rapidity spectra for the most abundant hadron species over a large range of beam energies from √s_NN = 2.695 - 7000 GeV.
FOPI Pions
Pion production compared to experimental data by the FOPI collaboration.
