The 6th International Symposium on Non-equilibrium Dynamics (NeD-2018) which will be held from 15-22 April, 2018 in Varadero, Cuba.

The NeD Symposium addresses the physics of strongly interacting systems far from equilibrium and their approach to equilibrium as relevant for the dynamics of the early universe and ultra-relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions. The key topics include the basic descriptions of strongly interacting systems, in particular approaches based on Kadanoff-Baym equations and their solutions. Transport theoretical realizations in phase space as well as numerical studies in comparison to solutions of the on-shell Boltzmann equation and viscous hydrodynamics present a further focus. Another - associated topic - is the description of the parton-hadron phase transition within different concepts, i.e. hadron freeze-out or dynamical approaches on the basis of the Kadanoff-Baym equations. Here in particular the differences between hadronization in vacuum and in cold nuclear matter will be confronted with hadronization concepts in hot and dense systems, e.g. statistical hadronization and coalescence models of different sophistication.

The NeD Topics include:

NeD-2018 is the continuation of the very successful TURIC/NeD format established in the last years that brings together world leading researchers and young scientists in the field of heavy ion physics. In 2018 we pay a special attention to the student education: every morning starts with an extended lecture on different topics given by the leading scientists; we organize a special "Student day" when all participating young students can present their own work, this will follow up by the afternoon discussion session and student exercises.

The venue and accommodation of participants will be at the the Naviti Varadero Resort.
